Supervison
I have an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision with additional study in online and telephone working. I therefore have specialist training in the supervision of counsellors working with clients online and by telephone as well as face to face.
This means I am uniquely placed to provide you with supervision to meet your blended needs in line with the BACP recommendation that it is 'ethically desirable to receive at least some elements of regular supervision by the same method of communication that is used with clients'.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor experienced in working with individual adults. I am an Integrative Relational Therapist with a special interest in Attachment-based therapy. My core training was based on Clarkson’s 5 Relational Model; primarily incorporating person centred and psychodynamic theories. I have a PGdip in Attachment Based Therapy, a certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling, a foundation certificate in the Application of the Polyvagal Theory in Counselling and a BICA foundation certificate in fertility counselling.
In addition to supervision, I work as a counsellor, with clients aged over 18, in private practice face to face, via video link and by telephone, I also volunteer at a local counselling agency and head a local bereavement support service.
How I Work
My supervision approach is based on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and is informed by the Integrative Developmental Model.
I work in a relational way, drawing on elements from all my trainings and experience. I will work with you in a flexible, collaborative way, based on your own modality. I aim to offer a supportive, enriching environment in which to provide an overarching pair of eyes to help explore what is happening in your work for your clients and yourself.
As a supervisor, I aim to provide you with a safe, non-judgemental environment that enables us to work together in a structured way, reflecting on your practice and supporting you in your work with clients. Using a Normative, Formative and Restorative approach ensures each session can be both supportive and challenging in a way that is flexible to meet your individual needs.
I am experienced in working face-to-face, via video platform and via telephone. I work with UK based counsellors only.
